Liven Up Your Halloween House Party With These Easy Games

Meg DSouza

We’re pretty pleased that this Halloween trend has spread like wild fire. Who doesn’t love an excuse to dress crazy and binge on candy? This year, we’re taking the easy-on-your-wallet route and throwing a BYOB Halloween House Party! If you’re feeling the same, here’s 5 spooktacularly easy games to liven up your FOPS:

(1) Frankenstein Bowling

Whip out your paint brushes and some acrylic/enamel paint. Get busy and paint faces on empty tin cans… Stack these scary (or cute) creations, grab a tennis ball and bowl away! Click here for deets.

(2) Pumpkin Patch Stomp

All you need is a pack of orange balloons, paper leaves, and some candy or small coins. Before you blow the balloons up, slide the candy or small coins inside. Place them together on the ground and get stomping to snag prizes hidden inside!

(3) Bobbing For Donuts

Get outdoors, buy glow-in-the-dark strings, and use them to hang donuts from a low branch. Eat the donuts off the string without using your hands. The first one to complete wins! So frikkin’ easy… and yummy too!

(4) Ghost Bowling

Don’t want to spend time painting? Use a pack of toilet paper rolls, paste these “googly” eyes on them, stack rolls in a pyramid, and get the ball rolling. Plus, super useful when it comes times to clean up afterwards!

(5) Halloween Feel Box

Players reach into covered boxes and have to guess what’s inside. The trick is to use objects that feel scary and gross like “eyeballs” or “guts” but are really everyday items. Kinda gross, but hilarious! Find a tissue, cereal or shoe box and cut a hole big enough to fit a hand, but small enough that you can’t see the contents inside the box. Fill your box with household items that have peculiar textures, like dried apricots (ears), cooked noodles (guts), wet nacho chips (skin), etc. Click here for a list of cool things to use and make your friends squeal!

We hope your Halloween is dreadfully creepy and a whole lot of fun! Let us know what fun Halloween games you’ve played below.
