We’re in love with Deepika Padukone‘s sexy and fierce avatar in xXx – the diva is kicking ass (literally!) in the film and yes, it’s hard to take our eyes off her. You’d think Deepika had to undergo rigorous training and break a few bones to play Serena, but turns out she was already prepared. Of course, she was born prepared! Jokes apart – in an interview with Rajeev Masand, the actress credited Sanjay Leela Bhansali for her performance in xXx: Return of Xander Cage.
Here’s what she said:
Bajirao Mastani prepared me for this. I won’t even say Bajirao, I would say working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali kind of sets you up for the greatest of challenges. And yes, Bajirao to an extent – from the physical point of view – I think the training that the film required, the kind of action that it required and whatever we went through in that movie, physically and emotionally prepared me to take this.
