Lately, Shraddha Kapoor has been in the news for her alleged link up with her Rock On 2 co-star, Farhan Akhtar. The latter even spoke to HT about “a certain kind of friendship that has been forged between the two, which is normal as they have worked together for the last one year and a half.” Now, Shraddha also addressed her link up rumours and told an entertainment portal:
I wonder where these things come from. Are reporters writing to get eyeballs? It is sad that when an actor is giving an interview and the headline is related to the link-up. It is disrespectful. We give lives for our films. It is unfair. Makes me feel all effort is wasted. That should be spoken. That needs acknowledgment. There should be responsible reporting. You can’t write anything.
She also said:
I feel it is very unfair to me. I feel I’ve given 66 days of my life to the film shoot, another 70 days for prep, and it all comes down to me talking about my personal life.

During the same interview, the actress also revealed how she she was inspired to start singing more seriously after watching the prequel of Rock On 2.
The reason I discovered that I want to sing is because of being an actor. Another reason was watching Rock On. I was always fond of singing but I didn’t know that I could do it in movies. However, when I saw Farhan singing his own songs in Rock On, I thought that if he can do this, so can I.
She further added:
I had told my parents back then that if they make a sequel of this film, I’ll be in it. It’s amazing — it’s hard to get that what you ask from the universe but it happened. It’s not planned. Whatever I have wished for as child, is happening. This is my life. I hardly go out. I like to sleep early and wake up early.
