Raakh directed by Milap Zaveri is a dark and edgy short film, about a husband’s revenge from his wife’s murderer. Shaad Randhawa plays a murderer, who has raped and brutally murdered Richa Chadha in the film. Vir Das is Richa’s husband and he plays the tormentor. Shaad pleads Vir to not kill himself and kill him instead, but that’s how Vir wants to take revenge. He nails Shaad in an industrial area and shoots himself.
DOP Nigam Bomzai has done a very detailed job. For the major part of the film, you feel you are a part of the scene. The song that has been sung by Sonu Nigam not only has meaningful lyrics that one will connect to, but it also has been sung very well. Not to forget, Shaad Randhawa has acted very well in the film. The story line is terrifying but is lose ended. In the end credits the matchstick composition makes the film more intense. The story definitely has the potential to be made into a feature film, but the script seems to be lose ended.
