There were reports that Prachi Desai is upset with the makers of Rock On 2. Rumours were doing the rounds that Prachi wasn’t pleased that the film was being promoted as a love story between Shraddha Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar.
About the reports, Prachi said:
As far as I know, none of the three of us have come up with that, none of us gave quotes on it. It (rumour) is simply funny. It is probably just people working overtime. May be it (love-story angle) is something that the journalists are feeling themselves, they are noticing that which apparently we are not noticing. They actually missed seeing us (on sets). You have to look at it that way and laugh it off.
She added:
I was apprehensive about doing it, because I play a very mature part. Honestly speaking, if it wasn’t for my emotional attachment to ‘Rock On’, you would not see me play such a mature role in any other film. It is an emotional decision to be a part of ‘Rock On 2’ because I was part of the first one too. I cannot see any other girl play my role, I can’t see anyone else taking that forward.
