Mona is dancing with full feel as I switch on the TV a few seconds after 10:30. I knew this, of course. Today, I am feeling like the teacher who showers students with appreciation one day and immediately regrets doing that the next day because every sign of improvement shown by the children has vanished and they are back to square one.
Bigg Boss 10 contestants are the children in question here. Tonight, they did not live up to the good show they put up as team yesterday. The nomination ki prakriya-cum-task continues from where the episode ended, i.e Manu sitting on throne. His task is to convince Manveer to shave off his beard. That’s basically asking to give up his identity. Also, it’s the only thing that goes against his voice, which really bothers me, like I have said previously on so many occasions.
After giving it a fair amount of thought, we see Manveer shaving off the excessive volume of hair and I am not sure if I have started liking him now. On a scale of zero to slight possibility, I will choose Aryabhatta. All said and done, as per procedure, Manu has to nominate someone from a restricted list and he chooses his brother-from-another-mother, Manveer!!!!!
Dafuq bro? Manu’s reason for nominating Manveer is that he has already done so much for him, might as well do the remaining.
That justification is stupid, Manu bhai! The line you are looking for is: “I consider him competition.”
Anyway, Manveer now replaces Manu on the throne and his task is to convince Rohan to dress up as a woman in the clothes sent by Bigg Boss. Manveer actually convinces Bigg Boss to change the condition because he is sure Rohan won’t do it. (LOLMAX) By this time, I am so much in awe of Bigg Boss. The man sure knows how to have fun!
But one must try. Thus, in order to convince Rohan, the Powerpuff boys (Manveer, Manu and Navin) devise a plan and give Rohan two options, hoping he chooses the original one. The make-believe option here is that Rohan has to steal Lopa‘s make up items.
Rohan refuses to do the task and I am slightly pissed with him for not showing the team spirit I expected from him. He is the first contestant who refused to do a task, I guess? Thereafter, Manveer is nominated for the week and he further nominates Rahul. Not kidding here, it took me about 5 seconds to recollect who is Rahul in Bigg Boss 10. #EidKaChand
Rahul’s task is to make Navin sign a declaration form that states he can’t participate in any immunity task for the rest of the season. Navin says no obviously! Rahul is nominated and he then nominates Karan. I must say I am very impressed with his reason – he thinks if he names an Indiawala, chances are the team will somehow make sacrifices and save their member from nomination. Well done, dormant housemate!
Karan’s nomination makes the atmosphere quite negative in the house. As a part of his task, he has to convince Lokesh to declare her name for nomination. At first, she refuses. Somehow, she later announces her nomination and there is a lot of confusion in the house. To cut a long story short, Lokesh thinks her declaration will make her sit on the throne, post which she can get anyone to do a task for her. Unfortunately for her, it’s direct nomination. She creates a huge scene about it and cries.
Towards the end, Manu genius tells Mona that Lokesh was not given a chance to sit on the throne as most of the housemates will readily sacrifice for her and thus, she would never get nominated. This was, according to him, Bigg Boss’ way of nominating her as she is a total misfit for the house. He then proceeds to imitate her.
I am really tired now. And where is Swami ji today?
Next up is Navin who needs Nitibha’s aid to save himself from nomination. The latter has to give up her makeup in order to save him and in return, he promises to make sure Lopa and Mona share their makeup with her. Other men in the house – Rahul, Gaurav and Rohan know that’s not possible because of the variation in the skin tone of each of these girls. But our teacher here lacks common sense.
Meanwhile, Bani updates the celebs about these new developments. Lopa goes out and for some reason, she asks Navin if he actually said he will “steal” her makeup? What?
Did Lopa mishear or was that a well planned move to negate Bani? Former, I assume and hope. Navin clarifies he never mentioned stealing – there is fight brewing right here – Bani enters the scene and says she did not mention it either – others verify Bani’s statement – Lopa realises her mistake – now Bani is pissed- she angrily curses the crowd in general- calls them kutta- Manu from the crowd takes offence and wants to fight it out – Bani leaves the scene to sulk alone.
In another world, Nitibha still cannot decide if she wants to give up her makeup for Navin. She feels nominating someone just to save her makeup stuff is quite petty and she won’t be able to live with that knowledge. After discussing, stretching, twisting the topic, and saying she does not consider her makeup a big deal, she does not sacrifice it.
Navin is nominated. I still don’t know what was the point of conflict for Nitibha. If makeup was not important, why did she not give it up? Please comment below if you can explain and validate.
Lastly, I am reallyyyy digging Gaurav and Bani’s equation. The former understands her like no one else does and if at all Bani pays heed to anyone’s advice in the house, it’s Gaurav. They had quite a few cute moments in the episode tonight that prove they both just fit right. Gaurav opens up in front of her very often and efficiently deals with her short temper and mood swings. He handles her when she is angry an gives her really good advice. This could be the beginning of “good friends” but can I just subtly draw your attention to the fact that they look mighty good together?
Imma excited, what about you all?
