I thought Bigg Boss will give the contestants a break after all the hard work they did for the Viral Video Fever task, but the boss had other plans! He is a tough taskmaster and yet another karya is thrown at them – BB Goldmine. The lawn is turned into a goldmine and all the housemates, except Rohan, are workers. Rohan being the captain, is the maalik who has to get the work done and extract maximum gold from his workers.
Lots of twists here- the first one being that if Rohan excels at being a good maalik, his captaincy will be extended. No one is ever going to let that happen, just saying. The second twist is the secret task Bigg Boss gave to Lopa and Manu. If these two are successful in stealing gold from Rohan’s treasury, they will be able to contest for captaincy in the coming week.
Fair enough!
Except that Lopa makes it quite obvious in front of Rohan that she has been assigned a secret task. No, really! She lies down on the table and dances to Ye Mera Dil, Pyaar Ka Deewana- I guess, to distract Rohan? The boy easily sees through it, and frankly, I bet even Rahul Gandhi would.
Lopa and Manu get on with making strategies in hushed voices. Meanwhile, Swami ji is facing issues with the costume which has been provided to the entire team- a white shirt with black trousers. He changed into the costume, but refused to come out wearing it and insisted he wear his red robe/whatever on top of it. I am exasperated.
So is Manveer, who tells him he won’t do any such nonsense. But when has Swami ji ever listened to anyone else? He looked fine to me, different, but fine. Eventually, he wore his sacred dress over the clothes provided by Bigg Boss and the housemates had a good laugh about it. I also half smiled, for solidarity sake.
After some more planning, plotting and the works, the task starts. Swami ji is ready to plunge into the task (wearing his maroon thing over the assigned uniform), Manu and Lopa are also ready to act on their secret mission. Manu obviously involves Manveer in the plan, because bhai-bhai. Mona is not seen much today. She pulled a Rahul, I guess.
Lopa is pissed with Rohan because he is not letting her work and makes a huge fuss out of it. They are arguing, and simultaneously, another fight is brewing between Nitibha and Swami ji. Nitibha said something to the latter, to which he replied:
Nitibha, tum mere se panga mat lo, tum nominated ho.
BURN!
As expected, Nitibha did not take this lightly and blasted him. “Dhamki de rahe ho mujhe?”, she retorted angrily and also bought in yesterday’s incident when Swami ji got extra touchy with Sunny Leone, saying:
Chachere mame ki beti hai Sunny Leone, jo itna hug kar rahe the?
Swami ji – 1, Nitibha – 1
“Haan beti hai meri”, said Swami ji.
Looool! Sunny bhi aapki beti hai, Swami ji? It’s getting difficult to keep count now. I was LOLing at the funny exchange of comments when things escalated and suddenly turned ugly. Swami ji is like the Midas touch for arguments. He turns everything to gold a fight. Why, you ask? Because dormant contestant RAHUL DEV, who tried to calm down Swami ji, also got into an argument with him. Waow! For this, and this alone, I will tolerate Swami ji.
Nitibha takes Swami ji head on, calling him “disgusting” and is in no mood to spare him. Everybody agrees that Swami ji is indeed, very annoying, moody and the root cause of all the fights that happened during the task.
Also, Manu is seen conversing with himself, that Lopa is not capable enough to do the task as she is bringing in between her friendship with Rohan and feeling guilty about betraying him.
Finally, the task is over for the day and housemates help Rohan in keeping all the collected gold safely in his treasury. During the wee hours of morning, Lopa, Manu and his +1 (Manveer) try to steal the gold to accomplish their secret task. Rohan wakes up, Lopa makes a lame excuse and leaves. Will Lopa succeed in stealing Rohan’s gold? Well, we’ll wait for tomorrow to find out.
