The moment Aditya Chopra announced YRF’s new movie Thugs Of Hindostan with Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan coming together for the first time, everyone was excited to know who’d play the female lead. As per reports, Aamir was keen on casting Alia Bhatt while Aditya wanted Vaani Kapoor for the part. But it looks like that idea has been dropped and the men have decided to cast a TV actress for the part. According to a report on Filmfare, TV show Kumkum Bhagya‘s actress Mrunal Thakur has been cast.
This was reportedly because Alia had a packed schedule till the end of 2017 and Vaani’s acting chops didn’t impress Aamir. The makers then cast Mrunal who gave a successful screen-test. Here are some pretty photos of the actress –
