Mubarakan is an upcoming Bollywood film that showcases a big fat Punjabi wedding and stars Arjun Kapoor and Anil Kapoor in key roles. The leading ladies of this project are Neha Sharma, Ileana D’Cruz and Athiya Shetty. Amrita Singh was supposed to play the role of Arjun’s mom in the film (2 States feels!), but she walked out of the project pretty last minute due to creative differences with the makers.
Ratna Pathak Shah has been brought in for the part now and we’re really looking forward to her getting her Punjabi swag on!
A Hindi website reported Ratna joining the cast in a rather insensitive way and Arjun, who usually isn’t known to react to reports about him, did not take this one sitting down.
