Today, in what may just be the stupidest thing America has done, Donald Trump was elected to be the next president of the United States. You could say it was an unexpected victory, as polls indicated otherwise, but many would argue that it’s not that surprising: after all, hate and bigotry are clearly more prevalent than we thought. A lot of people around the world have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on this development, and Bollywood celebrities weren’t fair behind. Some came out to congratulate Trump (Riteish Deshmukh, it seems), others minced no words (Vir Das), and others were just racist, sexist assholes (Ram Gopal Verma).
Here’s what Bollywood tweeted:
Every racist, bigot & homophobe that voted for him is now going to Realize the difference between election speeches and actual empowerment.
