For any makeup junkie out there, flipping through magazines somehow discharges a sense of solace and peace. And while we do consider the beauty spreads in our favourite magazines to be our shrines, we also consider them as a source of major inspiration.
After simmering through the 12+ beauty pages, I realised that there was a lot of tonal red makeup going around. Either on the runway or off, tonal red makeup was a trend that began to grab my attention more and more as I flipped through each issue.
Here’s how I pulled off the look using Chanel’s Le Rouge Allure Collection in three different ways…
The Eyes
Step 1: For the lids use the Rogue Brulé and with the applicator just dab on the colour
Step 2: For the lower lash line first apply Le Crayon Levres Lip Definer in Seduction from the middle to the outer corner of your eye making a slight wing
Step 3: For the inner corner of your eye to the centre line your lower lash line with the long lasting eyeliner in shade 928
The Cheeks
Step 1: Using shade Ombre from the Les 4 Ombre eyeshadow palette gently dab the colour to the apples of the cheek with your finger
Step 2: Start blending with a fluffy blush brush and work the shadow from the centre outwards
The Lips
Step 1: Line your lips with Le Crayon Levres Lip Definer in Seduction
Step 2: Take the Chanel lipstick in Rogue Tentation and start filling it in
Step 3: Dab a tissue over and apply another coat of lipstick

If this doesn’t make red makeup wearable, I don’t know what will.
