Celebrated actor Om Puri passed away few days ago and his fans and admirers are still reeling from the shock. The 66 year old actor’s death was sudden to say the least and the cause of his demise was earlier attributed to a heart attack. But as per a report in Mumbai Mirror, the post-mortem reveals that his death was not natural. As per the publication, when police arrived at Om Puri’s apartment on Friday, he was found lying on the floor with a sharp injury on his head.

We suspect that Puri died of heart-attack, however, it will be confirmed after viscera report. After suffering the cardiac arrest, he might have fallen causing the injury on his forehead. He was alone at home and there was no sign of forced entry. At this stage, we have ruled out possibility of any foul play.
The article also reported that on the day of this death, Om was desperate to meet his son Ishan, but his ex-wife Nandita and his son were not at home. As per the statement of producer Khalid Kidwai, who claims to have been with Om during those hours, the actor had a fight with his ex-wife over the phone.
He poured a drink in his glass and waited for almost 45 minutes at Nandita’s flat. But when they did not turn up, he took the glass and liquor bottle and started drinking in the car. After finishing the drink, we left.
Om also wanted to relocate to the United States so that Ishan (who is a special needs child) gets better treatment. This is so unfortunate.
