Day one involved the welcoming of the guests with classical flute, dhol and rose petal showers. And once that was done, the engagement ceremony kicked off in the late evening with an English vintage garden theme. It seems that Neil got down on one knee and proposed to her, saying that her happiness made a world’s difference to him. Rukmini, we hear, responded with a speech dedicated to him, and then they exchanged rings. In true Bollywood fashion, there was a lot of dancing, thanks to DJ Suketu.
