You’ve seen it in magazine spreads. You’ve spotted it on runways across the globe. Glossy lids are officially the chicest thing to wear! However, glossiness may translate into stickiness… unless you wear it the right way. Here are 3 easy steps to rocking this ramp trend IRL.

Step One: Create Your Base

The key to making this look stay in place is by forming an oil-free base. Eye shadow primers are the ones to use in this case, but feel free to use your concealer in a pinch. Top it up with a bit of loose powder to keep your base completely matte.

Step Two: Get Your Colour On

Whether you want to flaunt a bold hue or a neutral taupe, adding a hint of colour will definitely take your makeup game to the next level. Stick to cream or gel shadows to achieve the wet look.

Step Three: Gloss It Out

This trend is all about the application. Take a very small amount (less than you think you need) and dab it lightly on to the centre of your eye lid. Since the gloss will migrate over time, it’s best not to spread it out in the beginning. Also, be careful to avoid the crease as that is the place where you will feel the stickiness.
