Roadies is one of MTV’s longest running and most successful franchises. Honestly though, I can’t believe the show has been going on for so long. I was last in high school when I watched an episode and though the show was ending… Turns out, the show has gone on to have six more seasons since then! Anyway, this season of Roadies had Karan Kundra as the judge along with Rannvijay Singh, Neha Dhupia and Prince Narula, but apparently Kundra backed out of the show after he slapped a contestant during the show’s auditions. Nikhil Chinapa then went on to replace him, and Harbhajan Singh joined the show as the googly master.
According to a report in Midday, Rannvijay, Prince and Neha decided on a new task for the contestants, where they’d be electrocuted, and Neha suggested for water to spilled on their feet. Harbhajan didn’t approve of this idea as he thought things could take the wrong turn if the act went wrong, and it won’t be long before it turned fatal for the contestant. Can we take a minute to thank the Lord that at least one person has used their brains here?! Neha didn’t agree with him, and the two had quite the verbal showdown on the show, where he said he’d rather leave the show than watch this.
Rumours had been doing the rounds that Singh had decided to quit the show as he hadn’t returned, but Indian Express spoke with the makers of the show, where they confirmed that Singh is still very much part of the show despite that altercation with Dhupia. Here’s hoping all’s okay and we see them back to being the buds they are!
