Kapil Sharma is in the news ever since his brawl with Sunil Grover and the latter’s subsequent exit from The Kapil Sharma Show. There were reports that the ratings for the show have significantly dropped post his walk out, and Kapil also canceled some shoots.
According to TOI, Sony has decided to not renew TKSS if Kapil doesn’t ensure an increase in ratings. They have given him a month to improve the show’s performance – or else they won’t renew his contract, which is worth Rs. 106 crores. for another season. They have also given him one month to get his act together and get the ratings up.
It remains to be seen if the latest entrants – Raju Srivastav and Ahsaan Qureshi – are able to work their magic and put the show back to its numero uno spot!
