Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s Padmavati has been a conversation point for a while now. Starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor in lead roles, the film is slated for a 17th November release. However, the film has already seen its share of controversies – the most prominent being the incident where SLB was physically assaulted by protesters on the sets of the film in Jaipur. More recently, the set was torched by protesters in Kohlapur. In light of these incidents, rumours started doing the rounds that the film will now release next year.
Says a source close to Bhansali Productions:
There is no truth to the rumors. Padmavati will release this year as scheduled.As opposed to the reports of it being shifted to next , the film will release 17th November 2017 as planned.
