Kirti Kulhari

Amitabh Bachchan starrer PINK was one of the most successful films of Bollywood last year. It also starred Tapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari & Andrea Tariang in pivotal roles, and all the three girls proved their mettle with their strong performance in the film.

Kirti, who played Falak Ali in the film, will be felicitated with the Dada Saheb Phalke award for the film fraternity this Friday, April 21. In the past few years, the likes of Shabana Azmi and Shah Rukh Khan have been awarded this prestigious recognition.

An elated Kirti shared her excitement on winning the award and said:

I am grateful to the audiences who have appreciated Pink and supported it wholeheartedly. I believe that the theme of PINK has a universal appeal. It was and always will be a very important & relevant film. And the fact that such films are doing well commercially and critically, gives me as an actor, immense satisfaction & happiness. I am thankful to the Dadasaheb phalke team for recognising and appreciating the actor in me. Will always be extremely grateful and proud that I got to be a part of a phenomenon called PINK.

Congratulations, Kirti! On the work front, the actress will be seen next in Indu Sarkar, and Raita opposite Irrfan Khan.
