Bollywood divas Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra attended the Met Gala held in New York recently. Priyanka’s Ralph Lauren trench coat gown with a long trail was an instant hit. It immediately became a meme field too – but the actress took that in her stride. However, DP’s white Tommy Hilfiger satin gown had mixed reactions. She was looking gorgeous as ever, but many felt the outfit did not go well with the Met Gala theme, which was a tribute to Rei Kawakubo.
Rihanna was one of the few attendees who followed the theme to the T – and also nailed the look. A fashion influencer, Melvin Fenty posted a photo on Instagram, where he praised Rihanna’s dress, but indirectly dissed Deepika’s.
