Every Mother’s Day, we often read about the many things our mothers have taught us. But we at Team MissMalini decided to switch things up a little and instead reached out to a few moms of our team members and ask them a simple question – a quality they’ve learnt from their children. We also made them recreate their child’s photos,  because why the hell not? The answers were adorable, but the photos are even better.

Check them out –

“From my daughter I learnt that it’s nice to be confident and cool all the time. Take the time to build relationships and friendships. Laugh loudly! And most importantly, live and let live.”

2) Swagata and Gita Dam –

“My daughter has taught me that it’s okay to be a dreamer in this real big bad world, where everyone is constantly asking you to ‘be practical’. If you have a strong will power and are ready for some hard work, nothing can stop you from turning your dreams into reality.”

“My daughter taught me to positive, calm and never give up. I’ve also learned to lighten up and not take things too seriously because sometimes, life has to be lived that way. Roles have reversed now and she’s the one that teaches me all the cool makeup “hacks” and tells me what’s in and what’s not.”

4) Natasha and Khush Patel –

“It’s the circle of life… I see it now as my daughter Natasha tutors me on how I should turn out for the evening. How to wear the IT thing and look smashing. How to wing it right, and so many years ago I see myself showing my little baby daughter how to climb the very same ropes… I await her lessons on filters and photos and how to get with it on the media train! Thank you Nats, I’m sooo very proud of ya <3”

“I find you are kind and non judgmental. I have never heard you speak ill of anyone. This has helped me a lot…I have started to look at things from the other persons view…it has helped me be more understanding and compassionate.”

7) Mallika and Shaila Kulkarni –

“Normally parents complain that their kids don’t communicate with them at all. In our case it’s the opposite! Mallika has taught me the importance of communication, why it’s important to express my feelings in a situation versus bottling them up to please everybody. My fashion & beauty game has also improved since she pushes me to experiment more. Thanks Mallu for being the best middle child ever!”

8) Hrishitaa and Himani Sharma –

“Every daughter is a gift of God and I love every moment spent with my girl. She’s the centre of my world and has always inspired me with her zeal for life and I’ve learnt from her to live life to it’s fullest without giving any excuses for being myself! It may sound funny yet she’s the one who has instilled in me the spirit to get back with a bang every time I’m down and out. Thanks to her I’ve become a more self expressed and easy going person.”
