When it comes to makeup, there are very few people more knowledgeable than Mickey Contractor. The makeup artist (or magician as we like to call him) is the man behind many of Bollywood’s iconic looks. Plus, he has a way of making every bride look absolutely incredible on her wedding day. Luckily, for us mortals, he’s collaborated with MAC to release a range of amazing products. Here’s a quick look at some of the key ones.
1. The Lipsticks
Three vastly different lipsticks, apt for any occasion. Choose from ‘Yash’ (a deep neutral), ‘Mehr’ (a dirty blue pink), or ‘Relentlessly Red’ (a bright pinkish coral). The first two have a matte finish, whilst the last belongs to the retro matte category.
2. The Lip Pencils
Lip pencils are the quiet heroes behind every bold lip. Opt for ‘Plum’ (a reddened plum) or the iconic ‘Ruby Woo’ (a vivid blue red).
3. The Eye Shadows
From elegant neutrals to deep hues, each shadow speaks for itself. The mattes include, ‘Plumage’ (a dusky peacock) and ‘Embark’ (an intense reddish brown). For shimmer, you can pick from ‘Amber Lights’ (a peachy brown), or ‘Bronze’ (a golden bronze).
4. The Face Powder
Desi girls, rejoice! We all know how hard it is to find a powder that suits our complexion, but this collaboration has finally given us hope. The Mineralize Skinfinish Natural in ‘Dark Deep’ is a rich, golden bronze powder that sets foundation and gives a dimensional, yet natural, finish.
5. The Concealer
Another #desigirlproblem? Concealers that make you look washed out and grey. However, the Studio Conceal And Correct Duo in ‘Rich Yellow/ Burnt Coral’ is here to help. Use the coral shade to colour correct and the yellow one to cover up your dark circles.
In addition to the above, the collaboration also includes a range of foundations and makeup brushes. There’s also a mascara, brow definer, blush, kajal, eye liner and an eye pencil – all of which are perfect for our skin tone. For the more glamorous lot, there’s even a pair of false lashes.
The collection launches on the 9th of June, so it’s definitely time to save up your money! See you at the store.
