Sunil Grover was all set for his first live show after his controversial exit from The Kapil Sharma Show. He was going to perform in Ahmedabad on May 27 along with fellow comedians Ali Asgar, Chandan PrabhakarSugandha Mishra and Sanket Bhosale – but the live gig has now been cancelled.

According to reports, Ahmedabad based event organiser Rajpal Vastupal Shah filed a complaint alleging that Sunil’s manager and event organiser, Devang Shah had promised to organize Sunil’s event with him. He claims that Devang later breached the contract and decided to hold the event with a different organizer in Ahmedabad. He also said that Sunil ditched him as the other organiser was paying him a higher amount.

However, Sunil told IndianExpress that he opted out of the show as Rajpal wanted to shift the show’s date, and he wasn’t unavailable on that date. His manager also said that they returned the token money of Rs. 10 Lakhs when they realised Sunil won’t be able to commit on those dates. Rajpal has now filed a case against Sunil on charges of cheating, and investigations are on.
