As much as we love to travel, we hate the inevitable struggle that comes with packing our bags… especially our makeup kits. In an ideal world, we’d carry every lipstick and eye shadow on vacation. However, the luggage allowance and our tiny suitcases stop us from doing just that. Luckily, there are a few multi-purpose products that help save the day! Here are our favourites.
1. Bobbi Brown BB Cream SPF 35
Coverage, sun protection, moisturization, brightening and anti-ageing? Bobbi Brown’s incredible BB cream does it all.
2. NYX Conceal, Correct, Contour Palette
Stop your dark circles and spots from putting a damper on your vacation. This kit contains a colour corrector and concealer to hide all kinds of imperfections. It even has a shade to contour your cheekbones!
3. Maybelline The Nudes Eye Shadow Palette
With a range of neutral shades, this palette is an absolute must-have. The lighter hues work beautifully for a quick, daytime look, whilst the darker ones are ideal for a smoky eye. To make maximum use of the palette, you can even use an angled brush and double up the shadows as a liner.
4. Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Palette
No matter how many lipsticks we tote around, we always long for the ones back home… till now. Each of the 18 shades of this palette can be used alone or mixed together to create a wide range of matte lip colours. Feel free to experiment and use some of the colours on your cheeks as well.
5. MAC Clear Gloss
Don’t underestimate the power of this clear gel. Use it on your face to highlight your features or on top of a matte lipstick to transform it. You can even apply a tiny bit on your lids to get that cool, glossy effect.
