We want you to experience yoga at it’s best if this is the first time you are trying it. We have rounded up ten yoga centres in India where you can holistically embrace the power of yoga.

1. The Yoga Institute

The yoga institute is located in Santacruz, Mumbai and is one of the oldest organised centres for yoga in the world. It was founded by Shri Yogendraji in 1918 with a belief that the benefits of yoga should be shared with all. He was known as Father of Modern Yoga Renaissance, as he emphasised on on teaching yoga as a way of life instead of being just a solution for people’s health problems.

Located in the Pune, Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute was established in 1975. Yogacharya B.K.S.Iyengar conceptualised a unique form of teaching yoga by finding the meaning of the yoga sutras through his practical search and regular yoga practice. His style of teaching yoga is called Iyengar Yoga.

Speciality: Iyengar Yoga uses props that were designed by Yogacharya B.K.S.Iyengar, such as wooden gadgets, belts, ropes helps the practitioner to achieve perfection in any asana.

3. Parmarth Niketan

Parmarth Niketan Ashram has yoga programs focus on traditional ancient yogic discipline as taught by the rishis and sages and hence is spiritually oriented.

Bikram’s Yoga College of India was founded by Bikram Choudhury. Bikram Yoga was conceptualised and developed by him from Hatha Yoga through 26 postures sequence.

Ya hoy Saraswathi fue más firme , me dijo : "if you don't do Marichyasana D alone you have to perfeccionar el asana" You wait me to do ! 🚔👩🏾‍✈️ Mañana les cuento como me va con el ajuste 😉.. Y como dice el dicho : "el hombre es un animal de costumbre".. ya me estoy adaptando ☺️ .. cuando termina el día ya no se aguantan tanto las bocinas 🔊 pero bueno , por suerte para dormir son silenciosos ! Lo que si me da 🤢 es que tosen heavy ..pero heavy ! Y escupen todo el tiempo. Jajajjj Ya el picante 🌶 lo estoy dominando porque empecé a tomar agua de coco .. mi Pitta estaba sufriendo un desequilibrio importante 🔥 Hoy empiezo Yoga Sutras ♥️ los amo ♥️ mañana también les cuento. Que comiencen una hermosa semana llena de alegría de estar vivos 🌈☀️ Yoga es sendero .. el camino que seguimos por el cual alcanzamos algo. Que debemos tratar de alcanzar ? The Institute was an initiation of Yogacharya Shri K. Pattabhi Jois who used to follow the ancient system of Yoga that was taught by Vamana Rishi in the Yoga Korunta, known as Ashtanga Yoga.

6. Anshuka Yoga

Anshuka Yoga was founded by Anshuka Parwani, who is a certified yoga instructor and has a famous clientele—Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Malaika Arora Khan, Tusshar Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez and many other celebrities.
