Ekta Kapoor is often called the Queen of Indian television and rightfully so – she did change the face of the Indian TV scene single-handedly. Her shows have ruled the TRP charts always and her production house is forever churning out content for the fans. After the success of Kumkum Bhagya, Ekta is now coming up with a spinoff of the show titled Kundali Bhagya. At the show’s launch, Ekta spoke about the Ram Kapoor-Sakshi Tanwar sex scene from Bade Achhe Lagte Hain from back in the day and how it had become a huge talking point.
Always known to not mince words, she said:
The rating (of the show) was 5 or 6, it went down to 2. But the same night on digital it locked 10 lakh views. If you see my shows now, I don’t put such scenes anymore because I know how it is when you’re sitting with your parents and watching TV. But it doesn’t mean that anything edgy is bad, it means that you want to watch it separately.
