Anushka Shetty and Prabhas have brilliant on-screen chemistry as exhibited in this year’s blockbuster Bahubali: The Conclusion. The hit pair were all set to be repeated again in Saaho, but it looks like Anushka has lost out on the role.
As per an exclusive by BollywoodLife.com, the actress was to be presented in a new way in the film as the makers wanted her role to be a departure from the Indian avatar she had in Bahubali. Anushka worked very hard to lose the weight she had put on for a movie but reportedly, that wasn’t not enough.
Here’s what a source said to the website –
Anushka was training hard for her role in Saaho. However, her weight has become a bone of contention. She is still about five to eight kilos over weight. And this might cost her the film itself.
There were rumours of Katrina Kaif doing the film too, but she apparently refused, and Shraddha Kapoor demanded an extremely high price. The female lead hasn’t been cast yet.
