Govinda was meant to be a part of Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor‘s upcoming film, Jagga Jasoos. However, the actor’s role was chopped off later when the script underwent some major changes. He took to Twitter to let his disappointment be known, saying that it was unfair to edit his scenes and waste his efforts.
Ranbir, who has also co-produced the film recently took full responsibility of editing Govinda’s scenes from the final film. He told DNA:
Unfortunately, the entire track has been chopped off; it is our fault, (Anurag) Basu and mine. We had started this film prematurely, without a complete script. The character had completely changed, and the film was taking so long. It is very irresponsible, and very unfair to cast a great legend like Govinda and not do justice to his role. We are apologetic, but it is the best thing for the film so we had to cut that track out.
It would have been all sorts of amazing to see Ranbir and Govinda share screen space, right?!
