The last time Ranveer Singh‘s moustache was chopped off, Deepika Padukone did it. You do remember it, right? It was right after Bajirao Mastani and before he got into Befikre.
Well, history has had to repeat itself and this time, it’s all in the same film. Ranveer is shooting for Padmavati currently and he’s currently in the process of going from Alauddin Khilji (his character) to young Alauddin Khilji – which means, he’s having to get rid of his beard and moustache. How did he share his look with his fans? He did it LIVE on Instagram, of course!
He reminisced the time when Deepika cut off his moustache the last time and said:
Remember when Deepika did it? She was so happy! I don’t feel like that at all. I feel like I’m cutting off a body part.

Ranveer ended the live feed saying that he has to shave the rest of his face and because he hasn’t done it in a while, he would need to focus. He is clearly very attached to his fuzz, but we can’t wait to see his new look!
