The IIFA Awards are all set to take place on the 14th and 15th of this month and we’re super excited! If there’s one thing almost every Bollywood lover looks forward to every year, it’s IIFA. It’s hugely popular and has become synonymous with celebrating good cinema. And guess what makes it super special this year? We’re taking our partner-in-crime aka the VIVO V5s with us to bring you all the glitz and glamour from the green carpet. While it’s practically impossible for us to list all the reasons we’re looking forward to being at IIFA 2017, here are five.
1. It’s happening in New York
It’s only fair that after filming in New York for so many years, we finally have IIFA in the sprawling, bustling city of New York! The culture, the energy, and of course the food, uff! We can’t wait.
2. Nominations
Have you looked at the list of nominations for this year? It’s going to be such a tough competition, which makes it even more fun and intriguing to watch. Right from Sonam Kapoor for Neerja to Alia Bhatt for Udta Punjab, we just can’t pick. Can you?
3. Hosts
Saif Ali Khan and Karan Johar – Both these men are known for their wit and charm! Can you imagine what it would be like when they join hands to tickle everyone’s funny bone? We can. And we can assure you that you’ll crack up with laughter too.
4. Performers
The highlight of the IIFA awards every year are its performers. From the decadent sets to the stylish costumes and impressive choreography, star performances are something we look forward to with great delight. And guess who’s performing this year? Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, Kriti Sanon, Salman Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Sushant Singh Rajput and Varun Dhawan!
5. Lastly, we can’t wait to take selfies with our favourite celebrities at the green carpet
