If you haven’t seen the trailer of Shraddha Kapoor‘s upcoming film, Haseena Parkar, watch it now! I am pretty excited to see Shraddha in a de-glam avatar for the first time, portraying the role of the sister of India’s Most Wanted Man. This will also be the first time Shraddha will be sharing screen space with her real life brother, Siddhant Kapoor.
However, did you know that Shraddha was not director Apoorva Lakhia‘s first choice for Haseena’s role?! Yesterday, at the launch of the film’s trailer, Apoorva revealed that he had first approached Sonakshi Sinha to play the titular role. He said:
We had first approached Sonakshi. Our shoot kept on getting postponed. She was doing Force2 at that time and John was injured. Shraddha was totally my second choice. I knew she could play a 17-year-old and a 45-year-old too.
Further, Siddhant said:
I was cast with Sonakshi Sinha but she could not do the film so my sister came on board which was the best that happened to my life and my career. She has been working so hard to pull it off.
