From contouring to sleek ponytails, the Kardashian-Jenner clan has been responsible for many beauty trends. However, Kylie Jenner’s latest makeup trick is something we’ve never heard of… And it involves her ears!
In a video on Kylie’s website, makeup artist, Hrush Achemyan, demonstrates how she creates the Smokey Rockstar Look on the makeup mogul’s face. However, it isn’t the smokey eye tutorial that caught our fancy. Instead, it’s the base and contouring routine that surprised us. Rather than stopping after she’s done with Kylie’s face, Hrush extends the makeup to her ears. As weird as this sounds, there’s actually a valid reason behind this.
Since Kylie spends a large amount of time in front of flashing cameras and on red carpets, any discrepancies in her look can be easily identified. By applying a bit of makeup to her ears, Hrush ensures that Kylie’s entire face is one colour. If left bare, the difference in shades can make the foundation look unnatural and fake.
Whilst this trick might not be required on a daily basis, it’s a good one to keep in mind for special occasions. What do you think?
