As you may know, Varun Dhawan is the brand embassador for Sony Sab TV. However, recently the actor allegedly annoyed the channel owners with a harmless tweet about Star Plus’ reality show Dance Plus 3. He had apparently tweeted that Dance Plus 3 had the best live dance acts on television.
Apparently, this did not go down very well with the channel he endorses and they asked him to delete the tweet. Since Dance Plus 3 is a show on Star Plus, Sony’s rival channel, they did not like Varun praising the show.
A source told Mid-Day that it was a clear case of clash of interests. Varun did it with honest intentions, without thinking of the consequences and it didn’t go down well with Sony.
