The Box Office usually pins high hopes on the 3 Khans of Bollywood. They usually have festival releases – Eid belongs to Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan usually claims Diwali and Christmas is reserved for Aamir Khan. Even though mainstream media pits the 3 of them against each other, they have often come out in support of each other.
Salman’s Tubelight and SRK’s Jab Harry Met Sejal were this year’s underperformers. Even the Khan tag failed to uplift these movies, which had high expectations from the audience. Aamir, who recently recovered from swine flu, was present at the song launch of Main Kaun Hoon from Secret Superstar. He was asked about the failure of his contemporaries’ movies, to which he responded:
We can’t say it’s a shift of trend. We see ups and downs, it happens.
Aamir sure is a man of few words and he chooses them well!
