Two TV actors and a spotboy from the Colors serial Mahakali-Anth Hi Aarambh Hai died on Sunday in a car accident. Gagan Kang and Arjit Lavania were coming back to Mumbai after the shoot of the said serial in Umbergaon, Gujarat. Their car met with an accident on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad National Highway in Palghar, Maharashtra. As per a report in Indian Express, police have said that Gagan lost control over the vehicle on the highway and rammed the car into the rear end of a trailer parked alongside the road. The three of them died on the spot. The spotboy is yet to be identified.

According to the article, the police also found beer cans in the car and said that details indicate Gagan was driving over the speed limit. Their autopsy reports will determine if they were under the influence of alcohol. The producer of the serial, Siddharth Kumar Tewary spoke about how shocked he was after listening to the news about his actors –

We are shocked and saddened by the tragic news. I don’t think we will ever come to terms with this tragedy. Our hearts go out to the families and we stand with them. Both Arjit and Gagan were good actors and extremely sincere towards their craft. May their souls rest in peace.

Gagan played the role of Indra, while Arjit portrayed the character of Nandi in the show. Many TV actors took to social media to offer their condolences.

My heart goes out to the families of #gagankang & #arjitlawania This is so unfortunate I'm so perturbed by this accident. May God give enough strength to their loved ones in such sad times. My sister's closest friend had lost her son in a car crash on the highway driving at night. I have personally been through a very horrid accident recently with my loved ones. My car was also crushed like this, but we were really really lucky, with escaped with minor scratches and concussion. All I want to convey is, anyone who drives on highways, Pls pls pls don't drive in the night, Pls get enough sleep and its OK if we are delayed by few hours. Our lives are precious, if not for your self pls think of the people who love you. May Gagan's & Arijit's soul rest in peace. Om namo shivaya 🙏
