After Forbes released its list of the highest paid actors in the world (which also featured Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar on number 8, 9 and 10 respectively), they’ve now collated an India specific list. Featuring the highest paid of Bollywood, it only has two actresses and eight actors. Have a look –
1) Shah Rukh Khan
The King of Bollywood makes $38 million a year with films like Raees making good money at the box-office. SRK is also the ambassador of many brands and he also makes a neat profit out of the numerous productions helmed by Red Chillies Production.
2) Salman Khan
Bhai reached the second place with $37 million a year with last year’s Sultan and this year’s Tubelight.
3) Akshay Kumar
One of India’s most bankable star snagged the third position with $ 35.5 million per year with Jolly LLB and a guest appearance in Dishoom.
4) Aamir Khan
It’s surprising that compared to the top 3, Aamir‘s earnings are quite less (in comparison only), he made $12.5 million this year. Maybe because he’s selective with his films as well as endorsement deals, his last release was in December 2016.
5) Hrithik Roshan
With Kaabil, Hrithik managed to make $11.5 million this year.
6) Deepika Padukone
The highest paid actress, Deepika Padukone made $11 million, mostly due to her lucrative endorsement deals which range from Nike to Oppo.
7) Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra
Following Deepika is her boyfriend Ranveer Singh, who made $10 million due to his innumerable ads which include Durex condoms, Vivo phones and Kellogg’s Oats. PC, the second actress on this list also made $10 million by starring in Quantico and Baywatch. She’s also the star of big brands like Pantene.
8) Amitabh Bachchan
The legendary Mr. Bachchan made $9 million this year because of last year’s Pink and because he’s hosting Kaun Banega Crorepati again this year.
9) Ranbir Kapoor
Ranbir Kapoor made $8.5 million in 2017 because of his last year’s hit Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and this year’s Jagga Jasoos. The latter didn’t work at the box-office but Ranbir’s endorsement deals like the underwear brand Macroman made him enough money.
