Over the past few years, we’ve heard so much about micellar waters. Due to the magical way in which they cleanse skin, without stripping away any moisture these products have become a staple in every beauty lover’s cabinet. Thus, it only makes sense that the hair industry decided to incorporate micelles into shampoo, too!

Essentially, these shampoos work in the same way as the cleansers. The tiny micellar particles work to attract all kinds of dirt, build-up and environmental toxins. However, unlike the cleansers, which can be left on your face, these require to be rinsed off with water.

So, what’s the difference between a clarifying shampoo and a micellar shampoo? Although both types of products deeply clean tresses, the latter do so without drying out your strands. In fact, most of them are filled with moisturizing oils which help hydrate your mane. Another point of difference lies in a number of times you can use the shampoo. Whilst clarifying shampoos are intended to be used weekly, these are gentle enough to be used every time you wash your hair.
