Hairstyles That Will Make You Book A Salon Appointment In Seconds

Natasha Patel , 13 Sep 2017

If there’s one thing in the beauty industry more experimental than applying eyeliners and eyeshadows, it’d be cutting your hair. While most people have a sentimental attachment to their mane, it can also be kind of refreshing to chop it all off and channel a different you. After peeping at my hair idol Jen Atkin‘s new IG picture yesterday, it was final—I.AM.GOING.TO.CUT.MY.HAIR.

But everyone needs a little inspo once in a while, right? So taking cue from Jen’s oh-so-Parisian blunt cut with a fringe, I started my mission. Experimenting with styles, shapes and textures I’ve also come to notice a certain wave of hair trends in the industry right now. And if like me, you too want a bold change, consider this your Pinterest board of hair inspo…

Fringes

Don’t shy away just because you think “your face will look bigger” or “it won’t suit you”. Fringes come in many styles. You just have to pick the right one.

Blunt Cuts

Layers on layers on layers are so 2008. This year is all about going blunt and bold. Because of its clean, cut edges these cuts are easy to maintain!

Tousled Layers

This one let’s you keep you length (if you want) yet gives off a statement by the deconstructed layers and blunt edges.

I had so much fun giving back to a few @theouai fans this past weekend! I chose them to come get a cut on me because they wanted to make a change! Everyone left with a huge smile and spring in their step. 💁🏻💁🏽💁🏼♥️ Ladies don't hide under your hair or be scared to try something new because of any insecurities you have. I hear all of the time "my face is too round", "my nose is too big", "I'm not skinny enough yet" 🙅🏻🙅🏻🙅🏻Rock a fringe, cut off that old energy from a bad relationship, grow your hair out if you're bored of it short, or learn to embrace your natural hair. We are all beautiful inside and out… go live life YOUR OUAI. 💪🏼💇🏽 …. And how 'bout if you see a stranger with cute hair go give her a compliment and make her day 💁🏼(You can also donate your hair if it's 10" or longer and if you're in LA and ready for a cut @hairinel @amandaleehair @carlyxhair @justinemarjan are all amazing)
