If there’s one thing in the beauty industry more experimental than applying eyeliners and eyeshadows, it’d be cutting your hair. While most people have a sentimental attachment to their mane, it can also be kind of refreshing to chop it all off and channel a different you. After peeping at my hair idol Jen Atkin‘s new IG picture yesterday, it was final—I.AM.GOING.TO.CUT.MY.HAIR.

But everyone needs a little inspo once in a while, right? So taking cue from Jen’s oh-so-Parisian blunt cut with a fringe, I started my mission. And if like me, you too want a bold change, consider this your Pinterest board of hair inspo…

Fringes

Don’t shy away just because you think “your face will look bigger” or “it won’t suit you”. Fringes come in many styles. You just have to pick the right one.

Blunt Cuts

Layers on layers on layers are so 2008. This year is all about going blunt and bold. Because of its clean, cut edges these cuts are easy to maintain!

Tousled Layers

This one let’s you keep you length (if you want) yet gives off a statement by the deconstructed layers and blunt edges.
