People on Reddit and some of my friends shared some really fun memories of the songs they accidentally played while setting the mood for sex. Most people blame the ‘shuffle’ option on their playlists, because why else would anyone play “Main Toh Raste Se Jaa Raha Tha” before bumping uglies right? (I hope I’m right). Anyway, here are some of the funniest answers –
1) I honestly don’t see what’s wrong with this one.
I accidentally set my iTunes library to shuffle and halfway through my croony indie bullshit faded out and suddenly we heard –

He laughed so hard he fell off the bed. So probably that.
2) Everyone loves The Lonely Island!
I love The Lonely Island, but my iPod playing Jizzed In My Pants while we were making out for the first time did make things rather strange. Thankfully, he had a great sense of humour and he laughed it off.
3) Beautiful.
One time the theme to Jurassic Park came on shuffle while we were doing it for the first (and last) time. We both pretended it didn’t happen and never spoke of it but, damn, it was difficult trying to keep a straight face.
4) Oh no, oh no, oh no, don’t do this to my childhood!
Hedwig’s theme (from the Harry Potter movies) it scarred me, that one.
5) Let’s not bring up grandma’s death now, I just got over it!
Teri Naani Mari Toh Main Kya Karoo, I played a really old ‘romantic’ playlist, who knew it’ll have Govinda songs?
6) Best.Song.Ever.
She was shy, I was really waiting for this to happen, and then my phone played Show Me Your Genitals by Jon Lajoie (I have pathetic taste in music) and she freaked out so much.
7) Not the most convenient song TBH…
Umm…MOVE BITCH GET OUTTA WAY
8) This is awkward…
The 9/11 song with a voice recording of a little girl reading a letter to her dead dad about how much she misses him.
9) This can only set the mood if the two are into incest!
The Light of the Seven, nothing gets people in the mood better than the music being played while Cersei blows up the Sept of Baelor in the season 6 finale of Game of Thrones.
10) Hmm.
Tanhayi – Dil Chahta Hai. I loved the movie’s album, but what a bad time for my phone to play the saddest song in Bollywood.
11) This is getting into extremely strange territory!
The title song of Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. I had this song because of some random sangeet mash-up for my friend’s wedding. It stayed in my phone and in my non-happening sex life.
12) “The Force is strong with this one”
The Imperial March! But it got us so much closer together, on our wedding, I walked the aisle on the same music.
