Ayushmann Khurrana turns a year older today and there are plenty of reasons for him to celebrate. What a year he’s had. He’s had three releases – Meri Pyaari Bindu, Bareily Ki Barfi and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan. While the first film had a lukewarm response at the box office, his other two films have emerged as big winners with Shubh Mangal Saavdhaan taking the cake. He’s Bollywood’s current favourite boy with his choice of cinema – brave as ever with an eye for good content.
He got India, a country which brushes off topics like sex under the carpet, to not just talk about it but also laugh at the problems that come with it. We knew he’s here to stay when we watched him play the role of a sperm donor with so much ease and confidence in his first film Vicky Donor.
He turns 33 today, and if you’ve been following him, you’ll know that he’s had a hectic last couple of months with two film releases back-to-back. So, it’s not surprising he wants to take some time off and just chill on his birthday. According to a report in Bollywood Life, he’s going to spend the day with his family and have his much needed quiet time with some good food.
