Kareena Kapoor Khan celebrated her 37th birthday last week, and it was one lovely bash with her closest friends and family. Karan Johar and Amrita Arora posted the most adorable photos with birthday wishes for her, and of course, they all turned up at the party looking impeccable. If you followed the news last week, you’ll know that one of the oldest and most famous Bollywood studios – the Kapoor studios – caught fire and a large chunk of the area burned down. They lost a lot of antique props and outfits, and this obviously was devastating for the whole family.
When asked about Kareena’s birthday, Saif revealed they chose to have a quiet gathering given everything that happened with the studio. He told Deccan Chronicle,
We might have had a bigger party, but the fire at R.K. Studio has really upset the family. So, we thought of having a quiet affair. The entire Kapoor family is upset right now.
And then, he revealed what Kareena, Taimur and him did for her birthday.
On Wednesday night, we had a nice cake with our son Taimur. Kareena’s sister Karisma was sweet enough to organise it. On Thursday, we had close family and friends coming and celebrating with us in a small gathering.
Isn’t that sweet? We’re sure this was a special birthday for Bebo because it was her first one as a mum, and she specially flew down from Delhi, where she’s shooting for Veerey Di Wedding, to spend the day with her family.
