Yash Raj Films’ next big movie Thugs of Hindostan boasts of a very impressive star-cast. With Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan headlining and Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh playing the female protagonists, the film seems like a blockbuster already.
The casting of Fatima’s role was a task though. From Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt to Shraddha Kapoor, lots of names were tossed around, but none of them were signed on. Now according to a report on DNA, popular television actress Mrunal Thakur was offered Fatima’s role but she reportedly rejected it. As per their sources, Aamir was impressed by seeing her performance in the English film Love Sonia, also starring Demi Moore. He reportedly texted her, asking her to join the movie. Even Aditya Chopra was keen to cast her in the film and also offer her a three-film deal, but she turned it down.
As per the same news, she was also considered for Sultan, but Mrunal was busy with Love Sonia and couldn’t commit to the Salman Khan starrer or sign the three-film deal with YRF.
