Mahira Khan rose to fame with her Pakistani series Humsafar starring heartthrob Fawad Khan. She soon became a household name and began to get noticed by Bollywood. Her debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan – Raees – did really well at the box office, and despite her not being around the promote the film, it still got her a fair amount of attention.
She has also been in the news for her alleged relationship with Ranbir Kapoor. Photos of the two smoking outside a restaurant in New York surfaced on the Internet and has since then gone viral. Mahira received a lot of hate for her choice of outfit and for smoking, but her friends, Ranbir Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra, Varun Dhawan and Ali Zafar, were quick to stand up for her. Ali also shared a note about the incident.
