Mahira Khan has been in the news over the last couple of weeks after photos of her chilling outside a hotel in New York with Ranbir Kapoor went viral. People were quick to assume the two were dating and Mahira was instantly shamed for her choice of clothing and for smoking. Her friend Ali Zafar was quick to come to her rescue and shared a heartfelt note for her which urged people to stop being judgemental. You can read it here. Ranbir Kapoor too had the best response to the whole ordeal.
After staying away from talking about it, Mahira came forth and shut haters down with the perfect reply. At a press conference in Pakistan, she was heard saying,
Through the times of turbulence, through the joys, through the ups and downs, through the mistakes we make and all the success we get, let nobody… nobody’s opinion define who you are, And if anybody defines who you are, let it be yourself. Because including me and all the women out there, we’re all worth it.
YES! More power to her.
