Legendary comic actor Johny Lever is returning to the small screen with a hilarious new show called Partners- Trouble Ho Gayi Double. SAB TV’s new show is about Inspector Manav Anang Desai (played by the brilliant Kiku Sharda), a happy go lucky, bumbling police officer and Inspector Aditya (played by the supercool Vipul Roy), a solid, by-the-book police officer who is forced to form an unlikely partnership with Manav. Adding to its appeal is the special music video created for the show by the talented Meet Bros, who’ve given hits like Babydoll and Chittiyan Kalaiyaan. Have a look!
Johnny Lever will essay the role of Gogol Chatterjee, a police commissioner with a strong Bengali accent who has a knack of collecting medals and trophies on behalf of more deserving officers. Comissioner Chatterjee’s mother often hounds him to get married and even turns up at his workplace, complaining of loneliness. Remix star Shweta Gulati plays a restaurateur Dolly, who is in love with Manav while Kishwer Merchantt plays Ayesha, a lawyer who is dating Aditya.
With such a strong star-cast and a fun 21 Jump Street type of cop-comedy vibe, Partners looks like a sure shot winner! We can’t wait to watch Kiku, Vipul, Shweta, Kishwer and of course, Johny in such different avatars. Watch Partners- Trouble Ho Gayi Double releasing this November on SAB TV!
