I was waiting to read Nawazuddin Siddiqui‘s memoirAn Ordinary Life‘ because his story is quite extraordinary in itself. But it seems like the book has done him more damage and upset more people than he had anticipated. His ex girlfriend Niharika Singh has accused him of manipulating their relationship and fabricating their story to sell his book. Now, his other ex girlfriend and actress Sunita Rajwar too has lashed out at him for portraying their relationship falsely.

Nawaz, in his book, had written about how he had had a bad breakup with Sunita and was so heartbroken from it that he would never be emotional in any other relationship again, and that he had gone into “deep depression” and even thought about committing suicide. He also wrote that perhaps Sunita left him because she wanted to date a successful actor and not a struggling actor who was out of work. And that today, “Sunita tells everybody that she was once together” with him in a very serious relationship.

Sunita took to Facebook to slam the actor for his allegations and stated that Nawaz has been a sympathy seeker and that most of what he has written about their relationship is untrue. She asked him how he forget that she was much more of a struggler than him at that time as he had his own his to stay in but she had to move into a friend’s apartment. She revealed that the reason they separated was because she was disgusted by Nawaz as she found out he had been revealing intimate details of their relationship to their friends and made fun of it. When she found out about his thoughts when it came to relationships and women, she decided to end things with him.  At the end of the post she added, “I did not leave you because you were poor but because of your poor way of thinking”.

The actress has sued him for defamation and has demanded Rs. 2 crores for the damages done to her.

Nawaz apologised for hurting the sentiments of those involved and announced his decision to withdraw the book. We’ll have to wait for Nawaz and his lawyers to react to this.
