Bollywood is a lot like a high school group with many students where everyone dates everyone. Mostly, when celebrities from the industry (especially actors and actresses) date, the entire world, or at least parts of the world where people care about Bollywood are aware. But there have been couples who have managed to get together and eventually break-up under the radar.

Soha Ali Khan – Siddharth
Soha Ali Khan and Siddharth started dating during the making of Rang De Basanti, but after some years, the two broke-up as Siddharth wasn’t reportedly interested in taking things to the next level. Soha is now married to Kunal Khemu and the two became parents recently.
Uday Chopra -Tanisha Mukherjee
Uday Chopra and Tanisha Mukherjee starred in the forgettable Neal n Nikki (with an unforgettable song – Halla Re!) and continued to date for quite sometime. The two were also thinking of getting married, but as per rumours, they fell out when Tanisha was asked to sign a pre-nup. Uday dated (or is still dating?) Nargis Fakhri and Tanisha dated Armaan Kohli during her stint in Bigg Boss.
Shahid Kapoor – Hrishita Bhatt
Shahid Kapoor and Hrishita Bhatt were college sweethearts and they also featured in an adorable music video when indie-pop was a rage in India. They broke-up and Shahid went on to have a successful career in Bollywood, while Hrishita starred in some forgettable films. They’re both married to other people now.
Ranveer Singh – Ahana Deol
Before dating Anushka Sharma and now Deepika Padukone, Ranveer dated Hema Malini‘s younger daughter Ahana Deol back in college. Ahana is now married with a baby and is still on friendly terms with Ranveer as he attended the wedding. Ranveer is one half of the hottest couples in Bollywood – #DeepVeer.
Ranbir Kapoor – Avantika Malik
Before Avantika Khan and Imran Khan made us all see what a happy marriage looks like, Avantika dated Ranbir Kapoor for a bit. They’ve both obviously moved on and are actually on pretty good terms as Ranbir and Imran are close friends.
Lara Dutta – Dino Morea
Dino Morea and Lara Dutta‘s relationship was quite sudden and quite dramatic. Dino was friends with Lara’s long-term boyfriend (and live-in partner) Kelly Dorjee. But after Lara and Kelly broke up, Dino started dating Lara, which we know is a violation of the bro-code. Kelly gave an interview too, accusing Lara of “taking away” his good friend. Dino and Lara broke-up after sometime too. Lara is now married to Mahesh Bhupathi and Dino has been in an on-again, off-again relationship with Nandita Mahtani since a while now.
Akshay Kumar – Pooja Batra
As per a semi-confession by Aishwarya Rai in the first season of Koffee With Karan, Akshay Kumar cheated on his then fiance Raveena Tandon with Pooja Batra. They stayed together for sometime till he got into a serious relationship with Shilpa Shetty and eventually married Twinkle Khanna.
Rani Mukerji – Govinda
Before Rani Mukerji married Aditya Chopra, she was in a relationship with Govinda who was already married at that time. They broke up after his wife threatened to leave him.
Shahid Kapoor – Vidya Balan
Post Shahid’s break-up with Kareena Kapoor, he was linked to a number of actresses, including Vidya Balan, his co-star in Kismat Konnection. The relationship fizzled out soon enough, Vidya also alluded that she was depressed when someone who mattered to her would talk her down because of her weight, many believed this was in reference to Shahid.
Upen Patel – Amrita Arora
Yep, they were a thing too, for a couple of years. This was before Amrita married Shakeel Ladak and Upen Patel became a part of a couple hashtag that was – #UpMa (because he was dating Karishma Tanna).
