PadMan is based on a short story written by Twinkle in her latest book The Legend Of Lakshmi Prasad, which is in turn, based on the true story of Tamil Nadu-based social activist Arunachalam Muruganantham, who revolutionized the concept of menstrual hygiene in rural India by creating a low-cost sanitary napkins machine.
