Janhvi Kapoor definitely seems like a star in the making. She has quite the family lineage – and if she’s anything like her mother – she might just have some serious acting chops! While we wait to find out, Karan Johar recently announced her debut film Dhadak opposite Shahid Kapoor‘s brother Ishaan Khatter.
The two look absolutely adorable in the posters and contrary to what I might’ve thought before, they actually make for a good pair!
Dhadak is the hindi remake of the Marathi hit film Sairat, and if rumours are to believed, Sridevi might make a special appearance in the film. And guess what? It might just be the role of Janhvi’s mother! A source told India Today,
The role of the girl’s mother in this film is brief but very important. And the woman must look graceful, dignified and be able to express her love for her rebellious daughter and be able to stand up for her against the father who is vehemently opposed to her daughter marrying a boy from a socio-economically backward section. Srideviji will add a completely new dimension to the plot.
