Bhumi Pednekar is like a breath of fresh air in what’s seems like a stagnant Bollywood. She has made unconventional choices right from her first film where she chose to play the overweight Sandhya in Dum Laga Ke Haisha opposite Ayushmann Khurrana. Not every actor is comfortable putting on that much weight, let alone debuting in a movie looking like that. But she did, and made braver choices post that – a film on sanitation and another one on erectile dysfunction – both of which did extremely well at the box office.
