Television actor Piyush Sahdev, who’s best known for his roles in shows like Devon Ke Dev…Mahadev, Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke and Beyadh, has been arrested by the Mumbai police. Reportedly, an actress filed an FIR at the Versova Police Station accusing him of rape.
Kiran Vasantrao Kale, senior inspector, Versova police station confirmed the news to Hindustan Times:
Yes, he has been charged with rape. An FIR was lodged against him on November 20. After investigations, we arrested him on November 22. He was produced in court on the same day and has been sent to police custody till November 27.
The actor had parted ways with his wife Akangsha Rawat earlier this year.
